They are looking for an excuse to raise prices
What is happening in our country with prices is unprecedented. We have written about it before, but something always happens and we have to repeat it, especially regarding the FUEL PRICE.
Everything that happens globally is exploited by some to raise prices on the shelf. And if nothing happens, they invent it, because their pockets must be constantly full. Greedy…
In the spring they don’t have hands to pick strawberries and they send prices to God; in the summer they don’t have people for cherries and peaches and sell them for as much as they want. In the winter, when it doesn’t rain, there is no oil production and they sell it like “fuel,” while when it rains, they say the fruits rotted from too much water and sell it even more expensively. In a rotten society, what can one expect?
We are not talking about holidays and special days when customs dictate the consumption of specific food, but what happened lately with the FUEL PRICE is unprecedented. Specifically, last Sunday, hostilities began between the USA – Israel and Iran, resulting in the closure of the Straits of Hormuz and a dramatic decrease in the flow of oil to the world’s major markets. Naturally, after a few days, the international price of oil increased. However, worldwide the increase appeared in retail after five to seven days, while in Greece, it appeared the next day.
The missile attack happened Sunday; Monday morning, all gas stations in Athens were selling gasoline 10–15 cents more expensive per liter. How it is possible for something to become more expensive in five days globally and on the same day in our country is not explained by market rules. They did not buy the oil at the increased price on a Sunday. We doubt if even until today we have purchased new batches at the increased price. Why, then, were the stations selling more expensively? Why did they sell the oil they had procured cheaply at such high prices? Who gave the order and who profiteered at the expense of a people living on the edge of poverty for 20 years?
Will the state take care to find the guilty ones, those who unrestrainedly “fleece” the meager income of the Greek people, taking the bite out of their mouths? Or will it continue to “wink” at all kinds of profiteers and let them grow rich undisturbed on the back of the people?
