Olympiacos: The Legend is at the top of Europe!

The “red-and-whites” completed their European journey in the most glorious way, subduing the “Queen” in a breathtaking showdown from the first to the very last second. The team of Piraeus drew from immense mental reserves, imposed its rhythm at the critical junctures, and using its steel defense as well as correct choices on offense, managed to bend the resistance of the Madrilenians, reaching the final 92-85.
With the conclusion of the game, players, technical staff, and thousands of fans became “one knot,” celebrating wildly the conquest of the precious trophy. Olympiacos returned to the top of European basketball, proving its timeless dynamic and gifting moments of absolute happiness to its fans, who are preparing for a night of non-stop partying.
Four minutes before the finish, the final was on a razor’s edge, with Olympiacos being one point ahead (74-73). In the final minutes, the intensity inside the Telekom Center Athens rose to unimaginable heights, and both teams gave everything for the victory.
The players of Georgios Bartzokas were calmer in the last three minutes, and with Walkup and Fournier taking the chestnuts out of the fire, they took the victory, conquering the fourth European trophy of their history.
